GradIQ ("we," "us," or "our") operates the GradIQ recruiting platform at gradiq.ai. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account.
• Profile information: Graduation year, GPA, degree type, major, career interests, preferred locations, and work authorization and sponsorship preferences, if you choose to provide them.
• Resume and application materials: The resume you upload and any application materials (tailored resumes, cover letters, networking messages, interview preparation notes) generated on your behalf through GradIQ’s application package feature.
• Generated content: AI-generated application materials we produce using your resume and profile data are stored so you can access and download them.
• Usage information: Pages visited, features used, job listings viewed, and timestamps of activity on the platform.
• Payment information: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. GradIQ does not store your card number or full payment details; we retain only a Stripe customer ID and transaction records.

Please do not upload documents containing your Social Security number, passport number, bank account information, or other highly sensitive personal identifiers. GradIQ does not need this information to provide its services.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To match job opportunities to your profile using AI-assisted matching systems that consider your profile, graduation year, degree, major, career goals, preferred locations, and work authorization preferences to help identify roles that may be relevant to you.
• To generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation materials using the Anthropic Claude API.
• To send your daily morning brief email via SendGrid.
• To process payments and manage your credit balance via Stripe.
• To maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the platform.

3. AI Processing

When you use GradIQ’s application package feature, your uploaded resume and profile data are transmitted to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate match scores and tailored application materials.

We configure our AI providers, where available, not to use customer content for model training. AI-generated application materials are based solely on the information you have provided. GradIQ does not fabricate work experience, credentials, or qualifications — all generated content reflects and reframes what is already in your resume and profile.

You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated materials before submitting them to employers. We recommend verifying that generated content is accurate, appropriate, and consistent with your actual experience before use.

By using GradIQ’s AI features, you consent to this processing. You can withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the application package feature.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell users’ resumes, profile data, or application materials. We do not share personal information with employers, recruiters, or job boards.

We share data with service providers that help us operate the platform:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure: DigitalOcean (servers and database hosting).
• Payment processing: Stripe. Subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Email delivery: SendGrid (Twilio) for daily briefs and account notifications.
• AI processing: Anthropic Claude API for resume analysis and application material generation.
• Content delivery and security: Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection.

Job listings displayed on GradIQ are aggregated from publicly available employer career pages. GradIQ does not control the content, accuracy, availability, or hiring practices of any employer or third-party job posting. We encourage you to verify all job information directly with the employer before applying.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial transaction records). Backups and security logs may persist for a limited period after deletion.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no online service, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing [email protected].
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data by emailing [email protected].
• Email opt-out: You may unsubscribe from daily brief emails at any time via your account settings or by following the unsubscribe link in any brief email.
• Correction: You may update your profile data at any time from within the platform.

8. Cookies

GradIQ uses a session authentication cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not use analytics services that place cookies on your device.

9. Children’s Privacy

GradIQ is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Job Listing Accuracy

Job listings, deadlines, requirements, compensation, locations, and availability may change without notice. Users should verify all job information directly on the employer’s official website before applying.

11. Business Transfer

If GradIQ is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a policy with substantially similar protections.

12. International Users

GradIQ is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use of GradIQ after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
